It's A New Year, Not A New You

It's almost the end of 2015. Can you believe it? This year seems to have flown by and 2016 is only days away. With that in mine, the 'New Year New You' mindset is back in.

Despite being a past follower of this little saying, I quickly realised how absolutely wrong it is. A different number in the date can't mean you're a completely different person, can it? Truth is, a lot of people say it because they want to get out of the habits of the last year. For example, I NEED to stop biting my nails in 2016 - a resolution I've made for far too many new years.
Does that mean I need to make a 'new me'? No it doesn't!

You're perfectly great, you don't need a new you! Don't let the pressures of being better in 2016 make you believe that who you are isn't good enough - you're you, that's all you can be! Sure, improve old habits. Change things you don't like about yourself.
Try your absolute best at things you wish you did in 2015 - But don't forget to embrace who you are and don't be ashamed!
